-
Children are expected to bring their own snacks and/or lunch from home each school day. We have cooking/baking projects throughout the year and we collectively maintain an edible school garden.
-
Your child does not need to be toilet/potty trained to attend UMC. We partner with our parents to ensure consistency in toilet training strategies. We do require families to bring diapers, wipes, and extra clothing for your child to be kept at the school. A Toilet Training Contract will be required prior to your child starting toilet training at school.
-
Through the 2023-2024 school year, UMC was a co-op preschool. Starting in 2024-2025, we are moving away from the traditional co-op program to parent-participation. That means parents are allowed to be in the classroom.
So, if you want to come spend the day in the classroom and help out, we would love to have you! However, it NOT a requirement for you to do so.
